Afro, bald. Cycle of life. Well known by public, except how many of them really comprehend it? Think about it, do you cherish the moment when you have everything, until it slowly fades away? Come and look to it in terms of nature, look around you. How does the surrounding looks now, compare to 50 years back?
Together, we unite at Serai Restaurant, KL Life Centre, Jalan Sultan Ismail on December 18th, to remind ourselves again how sick is the nature now, and let’s find the way to fix it. We’ll be screening “How To Restore a Rainforest” by Willie Smits and “What Rainforest : Wake Up and Smell the Palm Oil” by Hillary Chiew / Chi Too / Ketapang Pictures. Link to FB Event Page here.

This will be a time we’ll look at how to move ahead with a clear view in mind of the principles it will take us to get there, and how to translate that into action. Many of the principles of permaculture (permanent culture) is also in existence with Islamic teachings. We’ll try to look at that too.

At times, discussions about Islam fall into segmentation of which group a person belongs to, usually connected to their identity. Man or woman, urban or rural, Malaysian or elsewhere, Sunni or something else. When does a person become liberal or is she at times conservative? To what extent does such thinking help diversify the Muslim community or does it divide us? What were Muslims before us like?
Mak, am I a Liberal or a Conservative? If Jadi Both Macam Rojak Boleh? is a Ladies Only event. It will be at 35 Jalan BU 1/1 Bandar Utama 47800 PJ, Sunday 15 September at 330pm-530pm. It is near Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Utama, the housing area on the same side as Centrepoint. Click here for map.
Since we have quite a few programs happening in September 2013, this blog post contains the overall view. Please RSVP here to reserve seats. For the events where the venue is not specifically stated, you will be notified via SMS.
